One thing I noticed on this exam: If the passage is unintelligible, they'll give you a few easy questions (an example of alliteration is...). If the passage is actually in modern English and makes sense--don't get too excited. The questions for those are unintelligible. All in all, most people seem to pass and my practice test experience was pretty close to yours. Obviously--watch the time. I saved the gobbledegook passages for last to make sure that I gave the passages I had a chance of understanding enough time to get those questions correct. That got me a 61.
