SirJake,

Excelsior does award grades for all DANTES and some CLEP exams. If having a GPA is big issue, you may want to consider "investing" in an Excelsior degree instead of completing the degree through TESC.

Also, if you have at least 30 'graded' credits you are eligible for Latin Honors at Excelsior. I'm sure this would be an added boost to your law school application.

Summa Cum Laude (3.9+)
Magna Cum Laude (3.75-3.89)
Cum Laude (3.5-3.74)

The lack of a GPA is one reason why I don't want to go with TESC, the other being the lack of a specific subject degree.

Perhaps you could call a couple of law schools and simply ask them about the GPA issue before you make any decision regarding switching to Excelsior?

I hope it all works out for you,
Snazzlefrag
