Default 9 Graduate Credits-by-exam

For all those business majors out there, I bring you this interesting little tidbit of info:

The Associate of Professional in Business Management has a 'Certified Business Manager Exam' that has been approved by ACE for college credit. It is recommended for 15 upper level semester hours in Business Administration, OR 9 graduate semester hours in Business Administration.

The exam apparently consists of 4 parts, with each part of the exam costing $400 to non-APBM members. The cost is $360 for APBM members. Membership costs $68 a year. APBM members have the option of paying for all 4 parts of the exam at the same time for a total cost of $1400, a $200 savings.

I haven't taken this thing. I have no intention of doing so. Just the same, perhaps someone may find this info useful. If anyone does decide to pursue this, all I ask is that you post your experience for others to possibly follow.

I have no idea if you could take this exam to earn 15 upper level business admin credits, and then turn right around and apply it at another school towards an MBA for 9 graduate level credits.

Also, the exam is offered at Pearson VUE testing centers worldwide.
