See.....now I was being all subtle. I thought the poster needed to see that as an entering freshman, there are so many other (better) choices, so I posted the link to www.lowestcostcolleges.com hoping the poster would figure this out on his own and come out the other side with a light bulb moment.

But, since the subtleties left the building....

Go forward and go fast, save your cash for your MBA.

Your going to pay too much for a business degree that no one outside your local community even knows about. Business degrees are so common and so easy to test out of that you COULD be graduating from TESC or EC before you end up figuring out which classes to take next year. Check out EC or TESC, you can still take a few classes at your local college- but honestly, you are about to waste a bunch of money and time on an undergraduate degree that are a dime a dozen. Statistically, you will drop out of your business degree program after the first year with only 30 credits and a nice fat student loan that will hang over your head for 10 years. Statistically, you will enter industry frustrated and then either give up your dream, or make a living- probably in sales. Statistically, if you are successful, you will wind up on this forum when your 27 asking if there are faster and easier ways to earn an accredited degree because you are tired of being passed over for promotion or you need it in order to advance in your company. At that point, someone will tell you about TESC or EC.

See, now that's what someone should tell a new high school graduate.
