I would not recommend LSU Independent Study to anyone. I took four courses with them, two of which I dropped because the instructors were difficult, impossible to contact and required 6 credits worth of work for 3 credits.

As an alternative, I would check out Clovis Community College on-line at Your College Search Solution: Clovis Community College, Clovis, New Mexico. I took 4 classes there and they were fantastic. No only were they inexpensive - even for out of state - but they were relatively easy. I took both freshman English classes. The instructors are available all the time and very helpful.
