Okay, I am curious about the Ohio University exams. It appears as though they are more expensive that CLEP or Dantes, range of about $200- $400 each, and you must arrange a proctor for the exam at a local accredited college, high school, or US embassy. You receive the book and syllabus for the course, and must arrange the exam within six months. This seems a little more complicated, but I am interested in these exams because it seems they offer much more variety in upper level credit, and because I think maybe the guided study would be helpful for exams in subjects that don't come easily to me, like math. I looked through the Excelsior Catalog the other night, and tried to plot out a testing plan for a History major or a Psychology major, and I wanted more options for upper level credit. Has anyone else tried the Ohio University exams? Especially to fill upper level credit requirements for a particular major? Even so, I will post the web site so you all can check it out. On the charts, take note of the CCE (College Credit by Examination) column. I see about 100 courses for credit by exam, almost 40 at upper level credit.
