Thanks to both of you for your indepth answers. It was exactly the kind of insight I needed into the tests themselves.

I only need electives at this point, so I think I'll stick with my nearby CLEP center.

Make sure you confirm with your college that CLEP AmLit is upper level. Officially, it is only evaluated as being lower level credit (as are all CLEPs).

However, each school can determine their own policy for assigning credit. So it may very well be that your school grants UL credit for this exam.

I wanted to let you know though, just in case you need to double check with your school.
