How did you prepare for the exam? Do you have any additional advice to share with us? What do you plan on taking next?

Well done,
Snazzlefrag

I hit it hard, for about two weeks.
Last Sunday through Wednesday (yesterday), I studied for about 12 to 16 hours
a day. I do NOT reccomend this approach. These were my tools:

1. VIDEOS: Watched two DVDs. The Standard Deviants' one was excruciatingly
annoying, but very helpful.

2. TEXTBOOK: I bought a used 1200 page Biology textbook that I only ended
up using for the chapter on heredity.

3. SELF-TEACHING GUIDES: Checked out three self-teaching guides from the
library. Made it through most of the first one, one small chapter on ecology in
the second, and didn't even read one page from the third.

4. CRAM GUIDES: Checked out a Schaum's Easy Outline and read it from
cover to cover. It was only 147 pages. Bought a Cliff's QuickReview and didn't
even read a page.

5. WWW: Surfed websites mentioned by learningasIgo in a post to another
thread. That post and others were a big help in deciding which topics to study
and how much study energy/time to apply to each one.

6. INSTANTCERT FLASHCARDS: Studied all of the Biology sections (except
for the four listed below) for hours and hours. Probably averaged three trips
through each of the 12 sections I got through. This is were I spent the
majority of my study time.

Didn't get around to these last four sections:

Principles of Ecology Part 2 [33 Questions]
Principles of Evolution [88 Questions]
Principles of Behavior [33 Questions]
Social Biology [38 Questions]

I almost forgot, yesterday morning I took the practice test in the 15th edition
(2003) of the College Board's "Official Study Guide" to measure my progress.
I got about 70% of the questions correct. I had a copy of the 17th edition
(2005 ) as well, but didn't have time to take that practice test today, as I
had planned.

Hope this helps,
Avery
