I know this doesn't really help you with your situation, but I would recommend setting up a SPAM email account (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.) just for these types of situations. These accounts are free and have extremely tight Spam Filtering options.

I work in IT and typically will register at multiple sites daily to get research information I need for projects. I setup a Yahoo account that I input as my email account just for this reason. It will keep your primary email account from being bombarded with SPAM.
