I can see both sides -- on the one hand, 495 is the capstone, and I can see how they might see their class as the best way to ensure outcomes are where they should be (though I still have the exam content guide for the Business Policy and Strategy ECE and it looked pretty rigorous), and on the other...well, it's easy to be cynical and say they want the money, plus almost every change they make makes it harder to get your degree and it's mostly hoop-jumping. My employer reimburses tuition, so for me it's mostly about the time the course takes; I'd really rather take the Colorado State self-paced class.

And just to keep the thread on topic -- thanks, Mike, for your feedback about the math level on CSU Production/Operations Mgt.

I would say a bit of Maths and some knowledge in Statistics would help in better understanding and completing the course. With the exception of logs, I don't remember the course touching deeply into Algebra.

Has anyone else been told the passing score is 50 on the Operations Management TECEP? When did the change occur? It seems that most peole who have failed have scored in the 50s, so it makes a big difference. I'm taking both Operations Management and Business Policy in two days and knowing would give me more peace of mind.

I passed Operations Management with a 54 back in November of last year. When I called to verify that it was a passing score, I was told by TESC that too many people were failing the test, so they reduced the passing score from 60 to 50 in summer/fall of 2007.

The feedback section on Business Policy will help you sail through that one. Prepare for a lot of writing.

Operations Management is very doable at 50.

    Good luck!!!

Thank-you so much for the fast answer! That is definitely good news for me. I appreciate all the information you've put up about the two tests, as well. Now, back to studying.

I took it this past April and passed with a 60. On the grade sheet they sent me it also showed the required score needed to pass - and that was also 60.

Hmm, maybe they raised it again because all of you were passing. Oh well. Hopefully they just haven't updated their grade sheet. Either way it doesn't really how much I can study.

No straight facts here, but I would think it's most likely the case of a missing update.

    Red face Help

I know I am going to be the new guy on the block in here but can anyone give me a clear path to getting a degree with out breaking the bank? I have 51 credits at excelsior. I still lack the math, english, informal literacy, and somthing beyond applied writing. I am trying to put 3 through college at the same time and do it on the cheap. I am looking for a degree in liberal arts for the time being. Please advise.

do the GRE Subject exam for psychology. that will get you about 27 credits. then transfer to TESC and do 35 FEMA's. So you won't need to many credits past that.
