I just finished this TECEP and I'm not feeling super confident. I used the recommended textbook as well as bricabrac's notes along with Instantcert and the Saylor course quizzes and exam for review. The notes from bricabrac definitely helped with the multiple choice and short answer questions! I had some trouble on the essay questions as two were on topics I could not remember being covered. I would recommended studying:
-corporate culture and how it is developed and preserved
    -new business diversification tests
    -diversification strategies
Hopeful that what I did know was enough to pass!

I am in the process of committing Bricabrac's notes to memory. Did they help with the essay questions?

On my exam, two of the essay questions were on topics not covered by bricabrac's notes. The notes definitely helped for the multiple choice and short answer questions on my exam.
Each exam will have different questions, so you could be in luck and get essay questions straight from the notes!

I'll be starting my prep for this one in about a month. Want to get the Fed Income Tax TECEP down and my CLEPs down first.

You will probably never find anywhere where they have a single version of a test. Instead, they use a test bank, full of hundreds (if not thousands) of questions for an exam. For something like a short answer or Essay portion of a test, they will at least have dozens of questions.

Even when I was in high school and everything was on paper, teachers created several versions of tests to pass out. Now, much of the testing is done online, and they use test banks too.

this is about to be a very popular thread.

What do you guys mean about the list? "Most of what everyone mentioned about memorizing the list is true. They make it so you would want to structure your answers in like a list format during the essay questions. If you have some business sense and know the lists, you will be able to manage just fine. Multiple choice questions were pretty straightforward and probably help me pass the exam."

Can I get an "explain like I am 5" answer please.

PDF of the book looks to be older copy

    Might be a better version

http://homepages.bw.edu/~mpisnar/2008%20Text.pdf at least this one seems to come from a .EDU web domain

DISCLAIMER: Open/download at your own risk. Frankly I just google searched the name of the book and added .PDF and it came up. Perhaps there are more options if you look. It looks to be an older version of the book. Might be useful to someone

Damn and to think I spent 24$ on my book. Shame on me.

Actually, if you read through all the notes, I covered everything on the test description sheet and the course feedback received when I took my exam. That plus the exam feedback should get you through without issue. You must also study the book. Only the first half, the second half is case studies. I wouldn't take a capstone exam using cram notes only. And yes there is more than one version, at minimum three, but they cover the same material from the test description sheet. You are allowed two additional attempts if you fail. They would not give the same version of the exam twice. For example, they may mix it up by having short answers turned into essay questions on another version. Or, perhaps,a multiple choice will instead show up as a short answer question. It pays to have working knowledge of all key points covered in the test description.

    Hope this helps add clarity.
