Does anyone know if the ALEKS Intro to Statistics course would fulfull natural science hours at TESC? I need 2 hours of a natural science; 3 of humanities left to finish (guess it would go under humanities, at any rate, right?).

Followup to my last about submitting to ALEKS via ACE - less than 24 hours after submitting through ACE, ALEKS has already approved my submission and now it's just pending processing by ACE. Considering that I submitted on a weekend and it's still early on the next workday for ALEKS, I consider that amazingly fast. Since ACE processes within 72 hours, the transcript'll be ready to send before the end of the week. :-D

Oops, sorry - meant to include a response to Nana, as well...

TESC's catalog lists their course Principles of Statistics, STA-201, under the Natural Sciences/Math category, and that's the class # that the DANTES Stats test would transfer in as, so I'm assuming that that's what the ALEKS course will transfer in as, too. You may want to check with an advisor just to be safe, but I'd guess that ALEKS would fill your remaining Nat Sci/Math req's.

    Minor Noble,

I forgot to ask. We pay the usual fee to Alex to study, of course. What does ACE charge to give the credits?

    Sidney

$40 for a 1st transcript and $15 for any after, it doesn't matter how many credits you have on it.

For those of you who have been through the whole process is the credits awarded pass/fail or do they carry a letter grade on the transcript?

all ace credits come through as pass. (if you fail they don't put it on your transcript)

    Default How listed in ACE

I've been looking at the ACE CREDIT website, but I'm not able to find the ALEKS courses/programs listed. When I search for ALEKS or McGraw, I'm getting an error that no listings are found. How or as what organization are these listed with ACE?

Not sure why, but they don't show up under ACE's National Guide Online; however, they do show up under this section on ACE's website: https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts/index.cfm when you're logged into your account.
