Anyone out there actually received credit for this yet? Or is Aleks credit an Urban Legend like Bigfoot and the Easter Bunny (I know people I know... I just heard about it too. Upsetting isn't it?)

Looks like ALEKS isn't legitimate and may actually be a waste of money. I've been following this thread since it started and although several people talk about the credits you can earn with ALEKS no one has made it through the first step of having ACE place the credits on their transcript.

Oh, I've no doubt about its legitimacy, but maybe the process is just too slow and cumbersome.
It still is a great tool to prepare and learn. Maybe all of you guys who are interested can follow zefrench's footsteps and contact ALEKS about improving the process. Zefrench was negotiating with one of their managers about using ACE's electronic transcript submission system. I'm sure it would have more weight if more people requested it.

Update: My credit showed up on ACE a little while back, but I waited to wait to see it on Excelsior transcript.
It is now on my Excelsior student status report. The process was not really hard, just had to wait a bit is all. (The delay was probably due to the typical high number of graduation in May at Excelsior) I received 3 credits in Natural Science/Math at Excelsior for Beginning Algebra. I am now doing Statistics at Aleks, I will keep you posted on this status as well. |

It works! Well done.

Zefrench- Are you saying you never actually sat a proctored exam. Yo just completed the neccessary online tasks and had the form signed and evaluated? Then transferred to your Excelsior transcript?
Please tell me i can do this for pre-calculus ??Anyone else trying this neat route?
