    Default History of Psych?

    Summary:
Where Can I take or test out of History of Psych and/or Physiological Psych?

    Long version:
Hi, I missed the GRE in psych during April, my chance to get up to 30 credits spread across the discipline, so it looks as if I'll have to test out of each of the required courses individually this summer.

Excelsior's Core requirements lists a History or Foundations of Psych class.
Excelsior's secondary requirement lists a required Physiological Psych class.

I noticed that Excelsior didn't have the ECE exam for either of these 2, and they didn't even offer the classes either.

Although TECEP/COSC had some of the other required exams that ECE lacked, History and Physiological Psych are 2 exams/courses I can't seem to find.

I called Excelsior and the person said I would have to enroll first before the academic advisor would tell me what 3rd party schools would fulfill this requirement. I haven't enrolled just yet pending this lack of information.

    any help from you guys?

    TESC is the better option?

    Hi, urbancowboy...

Check out my post on Resources for Psych Majors. I list places where you can take the courses not offered by Excelsior.

    Good luck!

I forgot to mention...it appears that Excelsior is adding a Physiological Psychology course, as it is now listed in the official evaluation for psych majors, with an EC course number. However, I don't think it has scheduled dates just yet.

    Default History of Psych

I know Colorado Independent Study offers the Biological & History of Psychology courses. They run about $400 a piece and are self paced courses.
