Default ACE credit from Penn Foster

Does anyone know how to get ACE to send a transcript to TESC for classes I have taken from Penn Foster? TESC will not take a direct transfer from PF!

    Thanks!

From ACE themselves, feel free to ask me specific questions, I have used this in the past many time.

    Quote:
    Establish Your Account

If you are a returning user, log on to
    https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts and select Returning User.

Step 1: Registration is the first step to establish your account. To
register with the ACE online Transcript Service, log on to
https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts. Select Register Now and complete the
information to establish your account. You only need to register on
this site one time for the online Transcript Service. If you have
previously registered for the online Transcript Service, it is not
necessary to register again. There is no fee associated with
establishing an account with the Transcript Service. If you have
previously registered, simply select Log In at the top of the page.

Step 2: You will receive an automatically generated email to inform you
that your ACE record has been established. At this point you may choose
to activate your record or submit courses to your organization for
    approval.

    Activate Your Record

Step 1: To activate your record, log on to
https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts. Select Returning Users. Select the
login associated with the record that you established. This site will
allow you to pay the fee, view your record, and order transcripts. The
fee for establishing a record is $40.00. This fee includes one
complimentary transcript. Additional transcripts are $15.00 each.

Submit Courses to your organization for approval

Step 1: Use the link, https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts, to add ACE
evaluated course work, continuing education units, or certifications.
Select "Course Search". On the Search page, select your organization
from the list of organizations. Select Find.

Step 2: All of the credit recommended courses will be listed. Select
the course that you wish to submit for approval. Review the course
information and if you wish to continue, select Add Course. Enter the
date you completed the course and select Update Course. Once you have
completed adding all of your courses, select Submit for Review.

Step 3: The course(s) have been submitted to your organization. Once
they have been approved by your organizations, you will receive an email
that the courses have been added to your transcript.

    Default What kind of Classes

I was under the impression that TESC and EC both accepted classes from PFC?

BTW. Which classes are you trying to transfer over, if you do not mind me asking? I am taking a ENG 100 with them as we speak, which hopefully is already accepted by both schools. Now I am not to sure.....

I'm taking TECH Math and some criminal justice classes.

TESC does not do a direct transfer from Pen Foster bescause they are not regionally accredited. You need to have ACE transcripts sent to TESC. Once you do that TESC will award credit for the class without a grade.

    Hope this helps...

Hmmm...According to TESC they will accept the credits from PennFoster for the Systems Analysis and System Design classes. I'm about to enroll for the PF classes so this may end up getting interesting.

Monday morning I am going to call up tesc and see which classes they will take across the board for their BS in CJ.

Here is the reply I received this morning from TESC:

    "Hello Robert,

Yes if you take both courses it will complete the requirement for the System Analysis and Design I. I will plan them on your evaluation."

I have it in writing and the name of the advisor so I'm going to give it a try.

    Default PFC and EC

I spoke with EC today, and they would not accept any of the Penn Foster Classes that were in the 200 level, EVEN THOUGH they are the same subject and Or Class.

Victimology and Criminology are both 300 level at EC and 200 at PFC, well it was worth a try.

I received an update from TESC later in the day:

"Since Penn Foster is not regionally accredited you must have the courses you take submitted to ACE (acenet.edu) for credit and then have ACE send us a transcript to insure you will receive credit for the courses we discussed."

All registered. Established an account on ACE and I'm just waiting for my materials from Penn.

    OK, OK, Penn Foster.
