    Unhappy Excelsior lost my official transcripts

    I am nervous about doing the distance degree. I applied to Excelsior (BSL) after alot of deep thought. I mailed in my 2 official transcripts,printed application, and $75 check in one envelope to EC last week. They were VERY quick to process my app. but, they sent me an email this morning that there is a hold on my admission because one of my transcripts was missing. I am 100% sure that I included everything in 1 package. I called and politely explained and they said they'd look around for it.

    I think I may also apply to Charter Oak, but I didn't feel like waiting until next summer to have my diploma in hand (they only award degrees once a year). TESC is probably not an option because of $$$$$ (enrollment fee). I dont get financial aid.

    I am really bummed. Should I send in another loose official transcript or wait until the "lost" one is found? Anybody out there with a similar experience?

    Well what I would do is proably send another copy of the transcripts to them certified! To make sure they are in hand.

    Ask yourself- is THIS is going to be the brick wall that derails your goals and dreams for yourself? It's a pretty short wall. Resend the transcripts and be prepared for many bumps and bruises along the way.

    Default Thanks for the thoughts....

    I am resending another copy today to Excelsior certified instead of Charter Oak. I am thankful that I ordered extra copies from my colleges. Moving on now--->And hopefully no more sidetracks.
    I am praying hard for this to work out. I really want to finish what I started almost 7 years ago.

    U are so Appreciated

    Chica,
    You can TOTALLY DO IT!!! This forum is full of us who are just like you. The people here are not exceptional, (well.... ) Really. The difference between someone who has a degree and who doesn't is persistence. That's it. One credit at a time, don't stop, keep going, keep chopping away. Testing is a way to jump start your "credit burning machine" and make huge strides in very short time.

    Stopping = no degree
    Not stopping = degree

    See, it's simple!
    Welcome back to not stopping!!
