Hi everyone,
I have question about online courses between TESC and EC. I have noticed that EC classes tend to look labor intensive(LOTS of WRITING) and TESC, well they look kind of simple for lack of a better word(Not Labor Intensive;ie; LOTS of Writing) Does anyone have any experience with taking classes with any of these two colleges? |

I took the International Business requirement at TESC and had to write 6 papers between 4-6 pages in length. With EC the classes I took required no such writing except for the class project. No experience with COSC.

I signed up with LSU for SOCL 4461 Criminology, it looks like they only require 2 position papers 5 pages each.
80% of the grade is from the midterm and final, and you up to 9 months to finish. So that will knock out 3 more upper level credits. You can finish the class in 6 weeks even with the stipulations of no more 3 assignments turned in a week. |

I have only taken one online class and that was with TESC. I wrote over 100 pages and I only did 9 of the 10 assignments. My class was taught without the discussion board I have heard if you take classes as guided study wuth the discussion board it is less writing papers, but then you need to post more discussions. By the way it was only a 200 level course!

I saw it online at their web site, for Social Science Research Methods, 6 modules with 4 or 5 Writing assignments at 2 pages.
EC wants 2000+ papers and 4-6 essays at 500-1500 words. |

During my online Managerial Communications class at TESC, I had to contribute to the online discussions, type maybe 3 or 4 one page papers, and then my final. That's it. Which was great because I hate writing haha.
