    You could consider this route…
First, I think it is always a good idea to see if DSST or CLEP tests will fit into your program at EC as they are usually easier, and are always cheaper. CLEP does not offer upper level tests so your only option is DSST. Second, try to save time and money try to “kill two birds with one stone” by simultaneously meeting the 21 upper level credit requirement and fulfilling a depth requirement at the same time.

There are two DSST tests that are considered upper level Arts and Sciences credits at EC. They are both history tests….1. Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union. 2. Civil War and Reconstruction. (note: there is a third test, Substance Abuse, that DSST lists as Social Science, but EC considers this Applied Professional credit.)

For the remaining 15 upper level hours, you could take the following EC exams…
    Abnormal Psych.
    Psych of Adulthood and Aging
    Research Methods (Psych)
(You state you already have some psych credit, if it is at least three hours then that plus these three exams completes your depth requirement, AND if you already have 12 hours of more of Psych credits then you will have completed an Area of Focus in Psych!)

The last two exams from EC are really up to you as long and they are upper level Arts and Sciences.
Perhaps… the sociology exam Foundations of Gerontology which works well with the test Psych of Adulthood and Aging….and the history test World Conflicts since 1900. Ethics: Theory and Practice is a popular exam, too.

    Good luck.
