Default Does TESC require the ACT??

I'm planning on transferring my CLEP credits to TESC and I was curious about whether or not they actually see the scores that are made on the exams or whether they simply see a "pass" on them. Also, I'm a senior in Highschool and haven't actually taken the ACT yet. Does TESC require an entrance ACT score? I'm scheduled to take one on the 13th I was just wondering whether I needed to send that in to TESC or not.
    Thanks ~JD

They definitely receive the scores. I'm not sure about TESC, but Excelsior prints the scores on your transcript. They don't require the ACT and don't need to see your score.

Just curious, what made you choose TESC? You had been talking about the GRE subject exam, so I thought you would go with Excelsior or COSC.

(Disregard that -- had you confused with somebody else.)

It's not up to CLEP to decide if you pass, and your CLEP transcript will only say a score. It's always up to the school who receives your transcript to determine a passing score- different schools may require different scores in order for you to "pass." CLEP and ACE suggest a score of 50, but I have found several examples of colleges requiring different scores. TESC makes it easy since they follow the ACE credit recommendations- a score of 50 is a "pass" on all the exams. Your transcript from TESC will NOT show your score, only "cr" which means credit earned.

No they don't need one and won't award extra advanced standing even if you ace it. If you are 100% sure that you are going to TESC, I'd say to skip the ACT and take a credit-bearing exam like CLEP, DSST, or AP.

Thanks ya'll! I appreciate it! Actually, I have already paid for the ACT so I'm going to go ahead and knock it out.
