    Default FCCJ clarification

I'm not sure if it was in this forum or the other one that I posted about FCCJ becoming a state college. It was my understanding that it was already official and thus the reason for the name change. Well, I guess they're still in the process. This is the note I received when I asked in reference to transferring credits to TESC.

Right now, everything is "unofficial." Assuming the legislature approves, we are looking at August 1, 2009 as a legal change date. Please note the verb "looking." It's really hard to pin this down right now. I would say check back after you hear the news that the legislature has approved the name and the transition. Then, you'll probably get more official news.
