    Question Thomas Edison question

Hey everyone, I have a quick question I'm hoping someone could help me out with.

I attend Thomas Edison State College and I'm interested in a Major/Minor or a Double major. Problem is I'm not sure if Thomas Edison will allow this. They have many majors to choose from to earn a BA, but I can't find a way to apply for another major or minor.

Does anyone know what to do or is anyone in the same boat that could offer their opinion?

Any advice would be helpful, Thank You!!!

Word of Advice from one TESC student to another. Whatever info you get from anyone at TESC, document the hell out of it, get it confirmed by someone else and, if you have the connections, get the Pope involved as a witness. TESC is not consistent with the info they give out and have no concern that they are all reading from the same play book.

This from someone who has posted very supportive comments regarding working with TESC. This is NOT NOT NOT to start another "TESC sucks" thread (please! no!) but just telling you to confirm it, check it, find it in the catalog and hope no one changes their interpretation of the rules along the way.

From what I read in their 08-09 catalog (pages 49-50), TESC DOES NOT have any majors for their BA program. They have concentrations/areas of study but not majors. There is a difference. Concentrations are not majors. Charter Oak is another that only have concentrations for their BA/BS and not majors. Excelsior has majors though.

Joanne, when you eventually get them, can you please confirm what it says on your diploma and transcript? Does it say major in Psychology?
Any other BA graduates from TESC that can shed light on what's actually printed on the diploma and transcript?

Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm still searching for an answer to clear all this up and hopefully provide insight to how degrees with majors and minors...etc. work.

Any information from anyone would still be helpful.

    thanks, marissa
