Default Any BSHS or BS Health Care Mgmt or Related Students?

    Hey all!

Is anyone doing a BSHS or BS health care management degree? I'm working on my BSHS at EC and was trying to find the core classes elsewhere to avoid the $300 Cr/Hr fee at EC. I thought I had found them at ECU but they are not accepting any new students that are not enrolled in one of their degree programs, even for online classes. I'm wondering if anyone has found a school that offers any of these course classes for less than EC? I was trying to find something local so I wouldn't have to pay out of state fees, because I figured that would bring the cost up to EC's. If anyone has done this I would be grateful with some school suggestions. I have looked at some of schools listed on the forums here, but they don't seem to offer the courses I need. Here is what I need if anyone has any suggestions

HSC 310: Writing and Communication in the HS profession
HSC 320: Health Care Issues in Culturally Diverse Populations
HSC 365: Reasearch for Evidence Based Practice OR
PSY 365: Research Methods in Psychology
HSC 431: Introduction to Health Care Systems
HSC 445: Introduction to Health Care Informatics
HSC 414: Budget & Finance in Health Care Organizations
HSC 418: Management of Human Resources in Health Care Organizations
HSC 440: Leadership & Management in Health Care Seminar

These are all 3 credit courses. Being unemployed I would like to try to keep the cost down, so that is why I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. I'm going to try to fill out a FAFSA but we have never been able to get any type of aid even when both us weren't working, so I'm doubtful I will get any now. We just don't have that kinda luck! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Marianne (and anybody else in the same boat)

I'm just starting to make plans and I'm looking at possibly pursuing a BSHS degree and wondered if you had ever found a good answer to the question you posted a few months ago. I guess I need to chose between the more expensive BSHS degree I would like and perhaps a cheaper Liberal Studies degree where I could test out of pretty much everything.

Too many decisions!!! I just started this process a few days ago with a couple of questions. Now after seemingly dozens of hours of Googling, I have hundreds of questions!! lol Anybody offer a degree in getting a degree??

    Cheers
    Mitch
