Through Excelsior? All of them, provided they fit into what you're doing as a degree.

A month sounds like enough time, provided you're consistant. Good luck!

Hi, I'm Ruddigore's mom and I'm also going the testing route for my degree.

You asked about what you can take for this degree. Have you been on EC's site? You can set up a student account number without enrolling yet (I did that) and get into their site a bit more. Download some of their info such as a catalog and different CLEP/DANTES information. You should be able to see what you need to complete your degree that way. I'm not too up on nursing degrees, but maybe someone here will know more.

Amazing! You are a LPN AND you homeschool. I am always in awe of anyone that can work and teach their kiddos. That's an huge accomplishment....these tests will be easy stuff for someone so dedicated.

Alissaroot posted a great Liberal Studies EC Degree plan, but it's for the entire degree. I'm not sure what the minimum is for an Associates Degree.

I forgot about one test that EC doesn't accept: CLEP English Composition with (or without) Essay. As you can see, I took that exam before I knew I was using EC.

Hi! I'll see if I can help you a bit since I'm working through the gazillion courses for my BSN. *for those going into nursing, there are prereqs for the prereqs, so even an associate's degree can take up to 3-4 years!

I can't get the page to load!! Ok, I was going to go through some of it with you.

Let me try back in a few minutes- sorry!

Ok, I spent some time on the site. Everything is testable except:
Written English Requirement (ex. English 101)
    Information Literacy
    Anatomy and Physiology I
    Microbiology

The classes listed in the gen ed section (except above) all have CLEPs. This is the cheapest andd easiest way to get through these.

The nursing specific courses are tested through Excelsior directly.

Let's talk about sciences. First, no matter what Excelsior requires, you need to take these WITH LABs. (if a class is 3 credits, it does not have a lab. If it has 4 credits, it does have a lab. Some schools do a 3+1 that you take at the same time, so that works too)

I have yet to find a microbiology with lab that does not require A&P 1 and A&P 2 as prerequisites. This could mean that you might need an extra class that's not on your list. Even if Excelsior offers a micro that doesn't need lab, you should take the 3 course sequence. Any program you apply to after Excelsior will require ALL THREE of those with lab- so it's faster to take them now. Plus, the extra few credits can be used as general education electives that you need- so they are not really wasted or extra.

Finding online with lab sciences is tricky. I picked Ocean (link in my sig) but there are a few out there. I'm happy to talk to you in detail about why I picked Ocean and the pros/cons about them.
The other option is to take them face to face. The problem I found, is that everyone wants BIO101 with lab and CHEM101 with lab as pre-reqs for A&P. So, if your college requires this, it sets you back another 1-2 semesters.

Are you sure you have no college credit? Was your LPN a diploma program through a local hospital?
