    Default Humanities exam

    LuBee,

I was really worried about this exam so I used a variety of resources. I used the REA book, the Comex book, the Princeton Review book and IC. With the question pool that I received it was more literature questions and interpreting poems as opposed to knowing the time periods. Very little architecture questions as well. A lot of questions on who was a American classical composer, a Austrian classical composer etc. All in all it was not so bad, this exam is a mile wide and only an inch deep. The more resources that you can use to prepare the better prepared you will be. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. I spent more time going over the composers after I read your post. I also went over, again, the notes that I had compiled from studying IC, doing the Peterson tests and looking things up on the web. I made an excel file that I kept adding to when I found out more information about a topic, such as a particular poet. So I guess it was enough because I passed. Phew! I was concerned about this one. But right off the bat I had a bunch of questions that I definitely knew the answers too. In fact, I think that IC probably covered the vast majority of the material that I saw.
My thanks to everyone who has posted comments about this test. You've helped me prepare and feel like I could do it.

I know this may seem premature, but I'd just checked with my counselor at Excelsior, that I've passed Ethics in America. (56) So far I haven't received anything from Dantes yet. I am so nervous that until I see it with my own eye, I will try my best to hold my excitement.

Congrats Marcy! What resources did you use for the exam? I am getting ready to take that exam in a few weeks and could certainly use some insight as in what to expect....
