Default Macroeconomics and Intro to Cmputing

Congratulations to all those who have passed exams in the last 2 weeks.

I managed to pass Macroeconomics with a 66 and Intro to Computing with a 74 today so that is another two crossed off the list.

Thanks to everyone who has posted on these subjects on the forum.

    Regards

    Default My scores

I've just started with my CLEP tests....so far I've scored:

    Analyzing and Interpreting Literature: 77
    US History I: 75
    US History II 65

Once I've gotten my CLEP and DANTES done, I plan to enroll in TESC as a history major.

    Study Hard,

What did you use to study for U.S. History I & II, particularly U.S. History I. Do you have any tips for these exams? I will be taking it in March and was very curious. Great scores! Thanks!

I used REA CLEP guides for both--there is one available for each course. The ISBN #'s are 0-87891-273-8 and 0-87891-272-X. (Check Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more or Half.com) They give an overview of the material and include some practice tests. Frankly, the books themselves aren't that detailed--I found them more helpful for the practice tests, because they include detailed answers and explanations for each question onf the tests. Plus, you get a chance to get a feel for your score. (The score is just a guestimate though--I scored 80 on History II on the last practice test and only got 65 on the real thing.)

Another very good resource was "A Patriot's History of the United States" by Larry Schwiekart and Michael Allen. I read through this also and it was much more detailed and helpful. A big fat book though, so start reading now. Not quite accurate on the War Between the States but...........

    And I used IC.

You'll want to make sure you know a LOT (especially in History II) about women, minorities, the civil rights movement, immigration, and various reformers. I got a much lower score on History II because it didn't cover very much about stuff like presidents, the World Wars, etc.--stuff that I'm more familiar with. It leaned very heavily towards civil rights and immigrants. Oh, and make sure you can keep the various political parties and what they stood for straight.

    Hope this helps!

    Default New here

    Hi all,
My name is Robin and I am studying for my BSN through Excelsior College. I have a traditional AS in nursing obtained 15 years ago in CT.

I have taken with EC exams:

    Ethics, theory and practice B
    Foundations of Gerontology A

Working on statistics now and drowning
after that, need analysis of literature, american literature and 3 upper level nursing courses. I heard all the clep exams were available for study on instantcert, but I dont see the literature ones; wish they would add those; I dont know where to begin with them. Thanks, Robin
