DSST Ethics (web based) 61! IC + DSST sample questions v.2 + some wiki reading.

111 questions total, time limit: 2 hours. I finished the entire test in 40 minutes. IC + DSST Sample questions (v.2) were definitely sufficient for this test. A lot of questions about: John Rawls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Make sure that you understand how to solve basic moral problems from the point of view of: Kantianism, act/rule utilitarian, natural law, consequentialism, veil of ignorance/original point. One is always to act justly (principle of justice)? Which philosopher will advocate full obedience of the state's law? Know the purpose of: normative, descriptive, prescriptive ethics. Questions such as: which of the following is not a stoic/utilitarian etc.? This was not an easy test to pass. So study hard! Good luck!

    Question New to forum

    Hi all
I am new to Instacert and fairly new to returning to college. I have 31 credits that are at least 20 years old from community college. I enrolled at Thomas Edison before I really knew what I was doing, but I am now trying to test out of the rest of my credits for an AA in general studies.

So far I have taken 2 test
TECEP Psychology of Women Passing is 60 I think got a 74 and a
DANTES A History of the Vietnam War Passing 44 got 66.

I have studied so far by buying used textbooks on Amazon and by Buying the Rudman's for the Dantes.

I justed joined here and am preparing for the CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications. I am also preparing for the TECEP Word Processing Fundamentals. Has anyone taken this test?? It just seems to easy to get 3 credits.

Does anyone know if Excelsior gives credit for TECEP's? I am considering there for by BS eventually.

Thank you for any help you can offer
    Linda

    Hello Linda -

    Welcome to the IC-Forums!

Yes, I believe that EC does give credit for TESC exams, you can always give them a call just to verify.

    Good Luck!

Default Another 6 credits - SS

Just passed Social Sciences and History. My version had very few questions about World History, a lot on US govt, US History, some on economics, Psych and Sociology.

I had finished all of my questions but I was reviewing the ones that I had check-marked and my computer shut down. Apparently the proctor had looked at her testing center timing clock, which had advanced yet another hour this weekend for day-light savings, saw that I was way beyond the time and she shut me down. My fear was that all my answers were lost and I would have to do it over again. It took a little while - she had to contact CLEP and have the server restart - but I was finally back on track.

12 more credits to go before I will have my BA in ART. I am hoping for completion this month.

Lubee, Cograts on SS and History. I just took that one, found the same thing with the material covered in it.

Dmman, thanks for the info on Ethics. That one is coming up for me. I only have a week and a half to spend on it, so I'm really praying I can do it. So thanks for sharing.

We're all maniac test takers! I love it! It's so exciting to see people passing, getting their degrees. Certainly makes me push harder for my own. : )
