I just started taking exams a little over 6 weeks ago and just took my first DSST. It wasn't computer based like my past CLEP's and the questions seemed much more vague and less absolute. Anyone else find this to be true?
Tests passed CLEP 65 Principles of Marketing 67 Principles of Macroeconomics 51 Principles of Microeconomics 53 Intro to Educational Psychology 63 Introductory Sociology 65 Introductory Psychology 67 Principles of Management |

Man, I wish I had dug around more on this forum earlier. I have been chipping away at my BSBA CIS from TESC for a couple months now, and thought all along I would be able to get those Programming and System Analysis and Design requirements met with Microsoft tests. But I now see that BMWGuiness and cbrchris have proven otherwise
I am thinking that I will take the TECEP C Programming for the programming requirement, but I'm still not sure about the design. I think I'll ask TESC if they will accept a software design class from my local community college, or worst case just do the TESC PLA - I've been a software engineer for over 10 years, and was network engineer prior to that.Today I finished my CLEP and DSST run with 3 DSSTs. Here's my list so far. 66 CLEP - HIS-114-CE History of the United States II:1865 to the Present (3) 50 64 CLEP - ENC-101/102-CE English Composition with Essay (General) (6) 50 61 CLEP - HUM-101/102-CE Humanities (General) (6) 50 58 CLEP - MAR-301-CE Principles of Marketing (3) 50 64 CLEP - ECO-111-CE Principles of Macroeconomics (3) 50 61 CLEP - ECO-112-CE Principles of Microeconomics (3) 50 77 CLEP - LIT-291/292-CE Analyzing and Interpreting Literature (6) 50 63 CLEP - BIO-111/112-CE Biology (nonlab) (6) 50 74 CLEP - SOS-101/102-CE Social Sciences and History (General) (6) 50 66 CLEP - NAS-101/102-CE Natural Sciences (General) (6) 50 72 CLEP - MAT-102/103-CE College Mathematics (General) (6) 50 78 CLEP - COS-101-CE Information Systems and Computer Applications (3) 50 57 CLEP - HIS-102-CE Western Civilization II: 1648 to the Present (3) 50 62 CLEP - LAW-201-CE Introductory Business Law (3) 50 70 CLEP - MAN-301-CE Principles of Management (3) 50 65 CLEP - ACC-101/102-CE Financial Accounting (6) 50 57 CLEP - HIS-113-CE History of the United States I: Early Colonizations to 1877 (3) 50 58 CLEP - MAT-127-CE Pre-Calculus (3) 50 63 DSST - STA-201-DE Principles of Statistics (3) 48 60 DSST - FIN-301-DE Principles of Finance (3) 46 67 DSST - CIS-301-DE Management Information Systems (3) 46 811 MS Exam 70–228: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition 793 MS Exam 70–229: Designing and Implementing Databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition 857 MS Exam 70-290: Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment 715 MS Exam 70-293: Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure 780 MS Exam 70-291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure 632 MS Exam 70-270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Windows XP Professional 496 MS Exam 70-294: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure 627 MS Exam 70-297: Designing a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure I agree with BMWGuinesss that those Microsoft Active Directory tests are extremely difficult. I'm going to go back and retake 294, 298 and 620 to finish off my MCSE. Has anyone found a way to test out of the TESC Management Communications course? I'd love to avoid taking the class if possible. Regards and happy testing to all, Mike |

Wow, I'm still on Cloud 9 from earlier. I took my Principles of Macroeconomics CLEP....and I got a 73! I was a bit shocked myself.
The proctor was like, holy s**t! So, I was very happy with the results. I'll do a brain dump on a separate thread in a minute. But anyways, 73 baby!
