    Default Shew!!!!!!!!!!!

After many, painstaking hours of prep and after failed practice test after failed practice test, I passed College Math this morning. I have put more time into this exam than I did the other 8 combined probably. I never did pass a practice test but I always felt like I was close to grasping it. After all the work and alot of prayer I went to take the exam this morning and walked out with a 62

I would have been happy with a 50 but I am exstatic about a 62. What a monkey off of my back. The Petersons were much harder than my actual exam but obviously they helped prepare me well. I used IC, Pass This Class, Western Texas A&M math lab(awsome by the way) you tube, and anything else I could find. I couldn't sleep for 2 days and when I was awake I was either studying or on the pot because of nerves.(sorry, to much info...) Anyway, I am still waiting on my eval from EC. It has been almost a month and they told me today atleast 2 more weeks. All I should have left is 9 UL tests ,so I am on to them.

    Doug

I passed Dantes Intro to World Religions with a 69 and the Humanities CLEP with a 71. I have Instantcert to thank! The Specific Exam section was extremely helpful. I also used Petersons and Comex to supplement for Humanities.
I am now finished with my BS in Human Services degree!

    Default Done...

Although I really would not recommend it, I proved that it can be done. 5 tests in less than one week - successfully.

Took and scored a minimum of 65 on the following:

    English Comp w/o Essay
    American Government
    Information Systems & Computer Applications
    Principles of Management
    Intro to Psychology

For those interested I can say that the IC cards, the latest official CLEP book and Peterson's were the 3 things I used to study. I began "studying" about 2 weeks ago and spent at most a couple of hours a day.

I say all of this for this reason - you too can do it if you'll take your study time seriously and prepare. I'm not "blowing my own horn"; instead I wanted to relay my experience in case it might be helpful to others.

Good luck to those still on the trail...

    Default Wow - Congrats, MISin08

Your scores are amazing!!!! I think you have a tendency (like myself) to "over-prepare". And, I don't mean that in a bad way, at all. I, too like to feel completely confident when I walk in the testing center. I don't even want there to be a chance that I won't pass. Although I haven't tried any math tests yet so there's still a chance that'll happen.

Anyway, congratulations on a fantastic pass!!

    English Comp (04-08) - 62
    Analyzing & Interpreting Literature (08-08 - today) - 72

I feel like I've been in school forever at this point, but I now need only 6 Science credits to graduate w/a Bachelors in Marketing. I plan on testing out w/Natural Sciences, but I've got a lot of prep work ahead of me. I haven't taken Science classes in nearly 20 years. I'm starting w/GED reviews as a review of the basics so I can build a foundation of what I once knew but may have forgotten. Then I'll start reviewing advanced, college level & CLEP material.

My last test is tomorrow morning. It's the public speaking DSST. I'm very nervous from all the people here who failed the speech section. I don't want to wait 6 months for my degree. Any tips?

Default One week of crazy studying...one college-level class down.

Went and took my Intro to Psych CLEP today. Was absolutely stressed out yesterday when I took CollegeBoard's practice test and got less than half the questions right, then was even more stressed when I got a little more than half the questions right on the Petersons's test. After a week of honestly studying the material for at least 2hrs a day, I was freaking out. Went and took the test this morning. Had a quick overview of my notes and a good prayer time. Went into the test and came out with a 69 I was absolutely pumped! God is good all the time.
