Well just got in from passing my first clep. Intro to Soc. got a 52. Not a great score but passing none the less. Studying was just from my prior experience and went through the flashcards a few times. Next up is intro to marketing!

WELL DONE Casey! Didn't it feel great to earn those 3 credits? I was absolutely hooked after I took my first CLEP in April, so I wouldn't be surprised if you now feel the same!

Good luck with your next exams!

    WELL DONE Casey!

It feels GREAT to pass that very first exam, doesn't it?

    A 52 is worth just as much as a 72 on a pass/fail exam...BUT...it's cutting it a bit close to that all-important 50 mark.

I felt the Marketing exam was more challenging than the Sociology exam. So you'll want to adjust your prep level accordingly. It's nothing you can't handle, but I'd hate to see you fail by two points, rather than pass by two points. You want to give yourself a bit of extra breathing room wherever possible. You know what I mean!

Congratulations again, and best of luck on your next one,
    Snazzlefrag

    Hooray!!

Passing the first one was such a boost. Now that you're used to the format and the slight nerves, it really helps with each subsequent test.

I always feel a little squirmy as I begin, but settle after ten minutes or so. I almost always mark those answers as well, because I know once my mind and body calm down, I may read them a bit differently.

Way to go. You did it!!!

Thanks everyone for the comments. Yes it felt great getting 3 credits for about an hour of testing. I was amazed at all the crap (excuse the french) that you have to fill in before you get to the actual testing.

I have my marketing scheduled for this week. I was going to take it the day after the SOC but I felt I wasn't ready so I pushed it back until this week. So Ill have more time to study than the SOC test. I have a little bit of prior marketing knowledge so I hope I do good. Just have to familiarize myself with the terms again. BTW I am in Spring, TX which is the North side of Houston.

    Thumbs up

Sitting at B & N bookstore, to rest a bit, and treat myself...

    American Government- 57

    US History II-68

Both of them scared me a bit, I have to say. I was so tired during the US History II exam, which I took second, that I just wanted to get it over, and that's not like me.

I did well enough all the Peterson's leading up, even scored a 70 this morning on the Gov, but the test is not one to be taken lightly in my opinion. (excuse the pun)

It's funny, I was not sure at all about a lot of my US History answers, but used more of a devil may care attitude, and tried to look for broad and not think them to death.

Anyway, I am a happy, but tired camper this afternoon.

Now I am trying to decide whether to cancel the dantes exams on friday, ones I chose because I thought they would be very easy for me. Fundamental of Counseling and Here's to Your Health. I don't need the UL credit, and I would prefer to know instantly, rather than wait.

On the other hand, it will probably take me about 4-6 weeks yet to finish my three IU courses, it terms of everything being registered, exams results etc..., so why not try a different type of exam that I have already studied for somewhat, and that will probably be sure things???

Kind of babbling to myself at the moment...brain fatigue

Here's a funny though. There was a person working in the office who hadn't seen me before. (I've taken several cleps at this small college). This person said to me, "Wow, you took two in a day. Do you study for these???"

    LOL
    Thanks for all the support
