    Default ECE Microbiology

Has anyone taken the ECE Microbiology? It appears as though it has a 61% success rate, that seems pretty high.

I've gotten two microbiology text books that I'm reading through and I work in a TMC so I've been OJT in the lab to get experience with gram stains and just a better understanding of what I'm reading.

Does anyone have any experience with the test, level of difficulty, things you wish you studied more, that kind of stuff?

    Thanks,
    Justin

I took the exam in October. I used I Study Smart, and took the practice exams that EC offers. The test was very straight forward. Know the diseases and what causes them because they are everywhere. Know sterilization methods, and the early pioneers of microbiology. Hope this helps. I made a B and was thankful for it.

    Rubberduck,

Thanks a lot for your help, I'm just looking for a place to focus my studying so I don't spend 25 hours reading about cellular metabolism and chemical reactions in the microbials when I should have spent the time on human diseases and the key developments in microbiology.

Did you feel that the I Study Smart was a great aid in preparing for the test?

    Justin
