I don't think Peterson's allow you to retake the three exams after you already complete them. I haven't tried to do this ...yet. However, it would seem like you would need to set up another account (possibly from another computer--such as your local library) to take them again. What are you scoring on the Sociology practice tests?

I will set up another account, I have multiple computers here and retake the tests and see how it goes the second time around also the REA practice test were so helpful.

You sound like you're doing fine but using the REA exams can help too - Good Luck!!

I am trying to find a Peterson's practice test through Guidancenet for American History 2 and for Biology according to the helpful post here on this thread. All of the high schools that I have found have the basic five - Humanities, SS, Math, Nat Sci, and English. Has anyone found a school that has Amer Host and Bio? If you have, would you be willing to send me the info? I feel lost without those tests. They have been a good back-up for IC. I would be very thankful for the info. You can send it in private message to me.

I don't know what is going on with guidancenet.com. It appears as though they don't want many people using their self-proclaimed FREE RESOURCE, but tattempts to trick them into using the pay-per-test (best I can tell) "alternative" on their sister site peterson.com. Here is how I log in:

    Step 1:

I am having to go straight through this link instead of guidancenet.com:

GuidanceNet - Free Test Preparation - Tools

    Step 2:

    Click on CLEP link

    Step 3:

Click on your choice of test. It should give you options for:

    CLEP American Government
    CLEP American Literature
    CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
    CLEP Biology
    CLEP Chemistry
    CLEP College Algebra
    CLEP English Composition
    CLEP Freshman Composition
    CLEP Human Growth and Development
    CLEP Humanities
CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications
    CLEP Introduction to Educational Psychology
    CLEP Introductory Psychology
    CLEP Introductory Sociology
    CLEP Mathematics
    CLEP Natural Sciences
    CLEP Principles of Accounting
    CLEP Principles of Macroeconomics
    CLEP Principles of Management
    CLEP Principles of Microeconomics
    CLEP Social Sciences
    CLEP U.S. History I
    CLEP U.S. History II
    Western Civilization I
    Western Civilization II

    Step 4:

If registered, type username and password. (If not, register)

    Step 5:

May ask for "activation code" (sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't). If so, type FL5518 (exactly as I wrote it here).

    Step 6:

It will say "You currently have -- days remaining to complete your CLEP practice". Click Continue.

YOUR IN!!! I hope this works for you!

Smile Free Access to Peterson's CLEP/DANTES Tests via Public Library System

I just discovered what appears to be free 90 day access to the CLEP and DANTES online tests of your choice through the Maryland Library system. Using my library card I simply go to Electronic Databases and there is a section for "Testing and Education Reference Center" - they have all kinds of test available - ranging from GRE's to special certification exams as well as CLEP and DANTES - it's amazing and it's free.

You only need a local library card from any of the counties in Maryland and you can get access.

I don't know if other State library systems will have the same but if you live in Maryland you won't have to pay for another test or hunt around for access through a local high school.
