    Default Excelsior & GMAT

I saw that Exelsior gives credit for GRE's, but does anyone know about the GMAT? I didn't see it mentioned. I plan to enroll at Excelsior in the next month or so.

I was wondering the same thing....... How is your experience with the EBS MBA? I heard the courses are really tuff! Try and get some more Cleps/DSST exams done before you enroll in excelsior! Good Luck!

They are very difficult. Much harder than anything I have seen in the US. I have actually passed 7 or 8 (depends on how you look at it) of the 9 modules. I started it about 7 years ago (when the dollar was stronger!), and I have had it on the back burner for the last 5 years. I am trying to finally finish what I started. I have a 49 in Quantitative Methods which becomes a 'C' when I pass Marketing. I passed all the exams first time, except Marketing. I failed it twice, and I have been granted an exception which allows a third try. I can't seem to pass Marketing from HW, but I can nail a 79 on the Marketing CLEP with 30min of review the morning of the CLEP. I am hoping to get a BS in Marketing from Excelsior, then apply for a Marketing exemption from HW Hope that works as planned.

I will take some more CLEPS and DSST's before I enroll. I am trying to find out how much credit Excelsior will give me for my Heriot-Watt MBA work. I am planning on taking Humanities CLEP and maybe Western Civ. I can't take DSSTs for another few weeks because the testing center I use is in the middle of transferring from paper to electronic tests. I want to knock out the Excelsior degree by the end of the year. I was kinda worried that people might look at my resume funny if all they see is a high school dimploma and a MBA, with no bachelors degree. I hope HW gets more recognition in the US, it deserves it, IMHO.

I could do a separate thread on HW, if people are interested. I haven't done much with it in the last 5 years, so I haven't seen the electronic texts, but I can answer most other questions.
