Default Intro to Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice Feedback

    Hello,

I have been a long time lurker in this forum. I have found so much valuabale information here that I figured I would add some of my own. I took both of the above tests within 2 weeks using Instacert only and with no background in LE. If you want 6 easy credits read on...

Intro to LE was much harder than Criminal Justice. Intro to LE demands a bunch of case law memorization and you better know your amendments (4,5,6,8,14). I would *definitely* review the Criminal Justice questions before you take this test. I felt unprepared because I did not review them only to find out next week that Criminal Justice had some of the answers. I scored a 59 on this test which is a pretty solid A. If you study the Criminal Justice cards you will be well into the 60s.

Criminal Justice was a much easier test. After taking intro to LE and reviewing the Instacert questions I only questioned 2-3 questions out of 90. You will see questions like:

Which crime in NOT a victimless crime:
    a. gambling
    b. prostitution
    c. consuming illegal drugs
    d. sodomy

I will update this thread when I get my results but I am certain of a 60+ score. Enjoy!

    Kms1

Sounds as though you did well and your review will help others who like yourself have no LE experience. We look forward to sharing in the victory of your impending passing scores soon!

Glad to see you climbed out of the "lurkers pool" (as your skin will prune) and - Welcome to the IC-Forums!!!

    Default Took criminal justice today.

I studied the IC flashcards to the point where I could get 95% of them right and probably recite the entire questions and detailed answers. The problem is the version of the test I took only had about 20 or so questions that werw even related at all to the flash cards. Better know the amendments.
Another 10-15 questions were common sense (I hope). The rest of the questions who knows. How many do I have to get right anyways?
I finished all the classes I want to take and needed 6 credits in humanites and 3 social science plus tech writing. I took the tech writing last week and the criminal justice today and have drugs and alcohol tommorrow. I think I am going to keep taking tests until I get results back saying I passed enough to graduate.

I too took the Criminal Justice test and fail. My next test is Intro to Law Enforcement. I hope I pass this test. The only reason why I am taking this is because it overlaps with criminal justice. I hope I pass. This will be my last (3) credits I need to get my degree.

Any tips? I found the criminal justice test to be hard. Am I taking a chance doing the Intro to law enforcement???

    Default Hi2007

First off, let me offer my welcome to the forums. It's always good to see more people join and share their experiences. While I have not personally taken the Intro to Law Enforcement test, the feedback on it makes it seem VERY passable; this is from good sources too.... Please read these postings: http://www.instantcertonline.com/for...ment-dsst.html

Information on each test can be found in the Specific Exam Feedback Section on the forum's main page. This section is a great place to start when deciding which test to take, or researching study materials. Seeing as you're about done with your degree, this may be a moot point, but it still may help other newer members.

With the proper amount of study, I'm sure you will do well. Check out the other feedback and let us know if you have any other questions; we're here to help each other. Let us know how it turned out too, your feedback on the test will be added to the collection. Welcome again, Lee

Thank you for your input. I've been studying the flash cards and it looks easy but who knows.... I am able to answer these questions allot faster than the criminal justice. Wish me luck, I will take this test next week.

Another subject, the DSST (computerize), I have been taking DSST testing in both UOP and Wayland University. These people does not seem to know what they are doing....
