I had a few questions about some of the tests for the General Management degree.
1. How many of you think that it would be easier to take an online course for Principles of Finance, Money and Banking, Statistics, and Pre-calculus -- rather than do the CLEP/DANTE method? I 've heard how hard these tests are - and I'd just like to get them DONE rather than try to study forever. 2. Has anyone taken the TECEP Sales Management test? Do-able? Thanks a ton for any advice! christina |

I've gone both ways, and I would really advise you to take the CLEP / Dantes instead of the online courses wherever possible. The online courses are fine, but they do take a lot more time to get through than studying for CLEP/DANTES with InstantCert. Also, with the online courses, you have a midterm and a final in addition to the discussions and homework.

Take the CLEP/Dantes first. (It's almost always worth a shot!)
If you don't pass it, sit in it through online or the hard way. I would recommend though if you are really great in math to CLEP/Dantes it out. If you really aren't great in math, sit in it - don't even go for the test. It's always important to get math foundations down the first time around.

Principles of Finance is definitely doable--particularly if at least some of it sounds familiar. Statistics was difficult--but I do believe the curve is your friend--as someone once said. If you use InstantCert and the Specific Feedback as your guide--give yourself one month of steady study and see how you feel. If you think you're close--take the test. I bet you pass--and it's over in a month. Good luck!
