Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know I signed up to take this test on Friday. I have done the peterson's and got at least half right with minimal concentration, so I think I am going to take a stab at it. Any suggestions are welcome. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Thank you for your help and support as always....

Wow, minimal concentration? You will have to let us know how it goes. I am going to take this exam not long after I take Humanities.

This was the first CLEP I took and I didn't study. It was what got me hooked.

Thanks all. I have used the search methods and seem pretty confident. When I say "minimal", there are so many distractions in my house that I can't really concentrate like I need to. I hope I am not jinxing myself. Wish me luck!

One thing I noticed on this exam: If the passage is unintelligible, they'll give you a few easy questions (an example of alliteration is...). If the passage is actually in modern English and makes sense--don't get too excited. The questions for those are unintelligible. All in all, most people seem to pass and my practice test experience was pretty close to yours. Obviously--watch the time. I saved the gobbledegook passages for last to make sure that I gave the passages I had a chance of understanding enough time to get those questions correct. That got me a 61.

I'm taking this test tomorrow. I need 6 humanities credits and it seems alot of posters were saying this was a cake walk. So I signed up for this instead of the dreaded humanities. Well, I did tests from the Rea book and Peterson's and passed those. But....I still am not comfortable. I was used to getting 70's and 80's during clep practice tests and I barely got a 60 when I did these. Half the time I was thinking, "Is this written in English?" Now wishing I decided to just go ahead and do the humanities exam. I will let you all know how I do.

April004,
I studied a lot for Humanities and I think that it warranted it. I would much rather take A&I Lit of the two. I didn't need to study for it and passed.
