As I prepare for the SOVIET UNION
I think it was Chris who suggested that those of us testing in this area make a timeline of the events of russian and soviet history....well go to the website "infoplease" and punch in a request for timeline: russian history..and there it all is. Makes life and study prep alittle easier.

Follow-Up Question
Went to the site and it certainly has the timelines down. Here's a follow-up question to any and all who have taken the exam: Where is the BEST place to begin in the timeline itself as it relates to the questions themself? Thanks!!

From what I understand, the test doesn't specifically test you on dates, but knowing the dates of important events can help you to eliminate answer choices; i.e. if the question is talking about the Brezhnev era, but an answer choice is clearly an event that happen in 1984, then you would be able to eliminate it because you know that Brezhnev died in 1982...
