    Default Psychology/ straighterline science question

Hi i have a few questions,

    1. I took an abnormal psychology course at a community college which i believe had the course number of PSY 251. I was considering instead of a liberal arts degree, to get a psychology degree. Well I will be one class short on upper level credit because i took both social psych and abnormal psych at the community college. But my question is can i take the ECE exam for abnormal psych and receive the upper level credit even though I have already taken an abnormal class?

    2. I want to go to medical school and I was thinking of going over the straighterline courses in Chemistry, bio and physics. Can i start the class and not finish without penalty? that way when i go back to B&M for the science courses, I will be more prepared.

    3. Also at TESC, is criminal justice considered liberal arts or free elective? I have
    intro to criminal justice
    criminal law
    constitutional law
they were all taken at community college with CRJ title, but i have read in some places that they are Social science and some places they arent.

    Thank you so much

    Hi lawqueen04,

I can assist with a few items on your list -

At TESC CRJ falls under social science
    intro to criminal justice (AOJ-102)
    criminal law (AOJ-251)
    constitutional law (POS-313)

For your Psy courses, I would let them do an evaluation first because they will most likely transfer in as:
    social psychology 3cr (PSY-370)
    abnormal pyschology (PSY-350)
Note: the evaluators seem to match up courses by description, not the code used by the other school.
So there is no confusion TESC has 2 social psychology courses 3 cr = PSY-370 & 6 cr = PSY-379

If you should need one additional UL take dantes fundamentals of counseling; easy test and UL at TESC. Copied from my evaluation:
    2 PSY-331 Introduction to Counselin 3.00 CR PSY-331 *NE

    Good luck!
