Hey all you fellow exam takers,
I have a question for you... I have recently applied to Excelsior but I am waiting for them to process all my transcripts, so in the meantime, I need to have an idea regarding which tests I may need to take. I have a 12 upper level credits from UOP such as Astronomy, Paradigms of Health, Human Motivation, and another I can't remember off hand. Even though these are upper level, they are not what I would call "Business" credits. In your experience, would you say that these upper level courses count as upper level business credits at Excelsior? That would sure help if they did because I would CLEP the 3 lower level electives instead. I don't want these upper level courses to be counted as plain ole' electives. How did Excelsior treat your upper level non-business related credits? ...If you've been in this situation. Thanks in advance, |

I just enrolled at Excelsor in a Business degree too, lately I have been really speaking with the advisors, getting to learn what applies to what, and from what I have gotten so far, I doubt if any of your upper level credits would apply to business credits. Most of those would go to your 15 electives (meaning you can't really benefit from fema credits) and maybe some would fall in Arts and Sciences. But for your sake, I hope something I apply to the business credits, please let me know how it goes Mapalo |

Auminer49r,
I'm sorry to say that none of the UL classes you took would apply towards the 12 units of "Advanced Level Business Electives" required for the Excelsior BS in General Business. However, you can take any 4 of the following exams to meet the UL requirement:ECE exams (through Excelsior): Ethics: Theory & Practice Human Resource Management Labor Relations Organizational Behavior DANTES Money & Banking Business Law II Management Information Systems Good luck!!
