I just took Intro to World Religions Dantes test and think I did really bad!
There was so much on it that I didn't know. Anyone take that test and felt the same way? Also, how long do you have to wait to take it again? Thanks |

Nitai, One thing a lot of us have learned is that with some of the DANTES exams you can leave the testing center thinking you probably failed the exam and then be happily surprised when you receive your score two weeks later and find out you passed! So don't give up hope yet! I haven't personally taken that exam, so I can't comment on it, but here are a couple previous postings about the exam that should make you feel better and realize you're not alone in feeling this way: Snazzlefrag wrote: "I felt that Intro to World Religions was a challenging exam. There were quite a few 'ambiguous' questions that could have gone either way, and there were several questions that I had to completely guess on. I studied hard for this exam but I still wasn't sure how I had done when I left the test center (DANTES exams often leave me feeling that way). However, I ended up with a 76." MagicATC wrote: "Took the Intro World Religion test yesterday. Not feeling good about it. I guessed most of the way through even though I used IC. It is encouraging however, to see others with similar feelings who passed." [Magic passed with an "A" as well] To answer your last question...you have to wait six months before you can take it again. But here's hoping you won't have to! Let us know how you do, okay? Hang in there, JoAnne ![]() Last edited by Kiwi Lover : 04-24-2007 at 12:51 PM. |

Hi Nitai,
Kiwi is so right. Lots of people feel bad after taking the Dantes exams and find out later that they did just fine. Hopefully that will be your story soon too! Meanwhile, while you are waiting to hear, just start working on the next exam. That way you won't lose any momentum and the time of waiting will go faster. Let us know when you find out.Ever upward!

THanks guys for teh encouragement.... Like one person posted I did feel like the questions were a bit confusing. SOme of the questions I felt had multiple answers so I just guessed, just wasn't so straight forward.
Abby: As far as subject matter it's really broad. Know what the different buddhist sects are, know what the Upanishads are, know which protestant religion has the most followers, know about confusionism and what it stands for. ALso know about the Apostles (especially paul)and which Jewish sect cannot have women Rabbi's... know what a canon is and know the century Mohammad was born. Just really review the descriptions. Good Luck to you.... |
