    Default College Algebra Help!

I am not sure if anyone has posted this in the past, but I found a great and FREE site that will help everyone in their College Algebra course. There are over 50 tutorials that help you understand the material for your traditional course, or you can prepare for the CLEP with this site. Great resource for us all!

Default Couple other sites I found

I have found a couple of other sites for algebra, I am just looking at this I have been postponing for a long time and avoiding the placement test with my college, but alas with 86 credits I have to take algebra. I don't know how good these are but seem to put things in terms i can understand, i am math phobic and haven't taken any algebra etc since high school. It wasn't required for my A.S. (sadly finished that in 1983).

I found the freeuniv site while googling on american government clep and say the had a link for algebra it takes you to math for morons. If anyone has used these sites let me know if they are any good please.

I am using the math study guide in testing section, but I am uncertain which questions to study for, and which are on the actual test? I would like to maxamize my study time to focus only on problems which are actually on the test. Can you suggest other study guides? I plan on purchasing the CLEP study exam book from Boarders Books. Are these books good sources for exam questions. I appreciate your help. Thanks

    Preacher,

First of all, welcome to the IC forum!

Secondly, I moved your post to the General Education Discussion area. We want the posts made in the Specific Exam Feedback area to be feedback directly related to an exam and nothing else. But since you're new, we'll let you slide this time! <kidding>

As for your questions, if you haven't already done so, I would recommend that you read the posts that are already in the College Algebra thread in the exam feedback area. I know that "yutzyj" posted some of the types of questions she had on her exam, so that may help you. And I have heard over and over that the REA book is an excellent tool to help with your studying for this exam. I haven't taken this exam myself, but hopefully others IC members can give you some tips.

    Good luck!

    JoAnne
