    Default sociology & psych similar?

I noticed some of the material in these overlap on IC such as general terms, names etc.. I am scheduled to take sociology next week. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to try and take psych too maybe the following week if I am good with the IC material. How much material on the psych exam is similar to socology or am I underestimating psychology?

    Thanks

    pitbull,

I cannot answer that question personally, since I haven't taken either one. But I did find a post made by crna2b on 08/07/06 that might help, even though he took these in the opposite order than you're doing (I only copied the part that related to sociology/psychology):

The Psych exam was my first CLEP. After that I went on to take Sociology, which was suprisingly just a glorified extension of the Psych exam. I used instantcert (obviously) and REA books with the CDs. I like the ones with the CDs cuz they score the tests for you.

The bottom line here is that I suggest studying Psychology really well, and that will give you a great base knowledge for your Sociology and Human Growth Exams.

Sociology skills and related concepts are the gateway to psychology. There is significant overlap as you progress from Soc - Psych - Ed Psych - HG&D.

I agree. I just ended up taking Psych and Soc on the same day, studied for both the same week, concurrently. There's so much overlap you'll get bored.

Default college who take all psychology cleps

I am scheduled for sociology and took psychology already, I didn't study yet since I was told that some does overlap, but nothing to rely on.
I want to know which college will accept all these cle\ps which are so similar

First i gotta tackle psych next. Is there any big difference between ED Psych & HG&D?

Is one harder than the other? or is one more similar to SOC & Psych?

    Thanks
