    Smile Passed A&I Literature

I am very relieved to have passed this exam. I must say that despite most of the reviews here, I would certainly not classify this exam as easy at all. No, you do not really need to study for it except by taking practice exams and timing yourself, as time management is the most important thing. However, it's not like the answers necessarily just pop out at you either. My advice to anyone taking this exam is to know terms such as alliteration, metaphor, simile, allegory, and satire.

The main thing to remember is to definitely keep your eye on the clock, yet try to force yourself to relax and comprehend what you're reading. I did not look at the questions before I read the excerpt. I read first and tried to digest it as much as possible and then went forward with trying to answer. If a question referred to a certain line or stanza, I then went to that section to read over again, but trying to keep it all within context. If a question asked what line 5-8 was trying to say, I would also read lines 2-5 and 8-10. Try to relax and retain, but you also need to work quickly. These are the keys to passing. Hope this helps.

Great feedback, I'll add it to the Specific Exam Feedback Section as it will be sure to help others out. Congratulations on your pass!! Lee

Thank you for the congrats, Lee. I am celebrating tonight, since over a year's time I have accumulated almost two year's worth of work by taking CLEP exams on top of my regular school schedule. It's been a huge commitment, but with the immense help of IC, it's been a very gratifying accomplishment!

You are quite welcome. It sounds like you have quite a load; it is an investment in time and effort that will pay back with dividends. Keep up the good work and let us know if there is any way we can help. Congrats again...Lee
