Has anyone needed to take a nutrition class? I am working towards my Bachelors in Nursing and that is one I need to take. So far I have only been able to find it at my community college (online at least), but if I could find a better way to take it I would be so much happier. My cc requires biology as a pre-req - maybe another place would just let me take it??? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Yes, make sure your nutrition has a BIO alpha (BIO210 for example). I have taken (and taught) various forms of nutrition in another department and it always transferrs as an elective. (I have had students tell me this, along with my own experience at TESC). Nothing dietary, nothing health, nothing culinary/hospitality- be sure it is biology. TESC offers nutrition without a pre-req.

Ohh thank you.. It definately has to be one listed Bio I know - because it is a pre-req for my BSN.. I will check out TESC - I know I can do the pre-req biology but other than needing it for Nutrition - I do not really have to have it - and it is stressing me out trying to do it as my first CLEP. this way I could start my CLEPs and then when I am feeilng stronger in studying I can go back and do the biology (it still would be good to do.. ) Thank You! |
