I thought it might be nice to see how IC worked for you. Which tests did you use JUST IC for, and what was your score? Also, which tests did you need outside information (textbooks, etc.) for?

Here are my experiences:

Just IC
CLEP

• Principles of Management - 71
• Info. Systems and Computer Applications - 62
• Principles of Marketing -73
• American Government - 64
• History of the US 1 - 77

IC + outside info
CLEP

• Principles of Accounting - 64 (I used a textbook for extra practice, but I believe IC would probably have been enough)

DSST

• Principles of Statistics - 72 IC was not enough because I needed more practice to understand how it all fit together. The Statistics Workbook for Dummies and the Princeton Review's Cracking the AP Statistics Exam helped me in addition to Instant Cert. (However, I definitely NEEDED IC in addition to these books... they were a nice combination.)

Calculus - 67 (Used Saxon Calculus and Superstar Teachers Calculus videos - The Teaching Company : Educational Courses on DVD, Audio CD, and Audio Tape- Lecture Series by College/University Professors)
Principles of Macroeconomics - 71 Macroeconomics by Campbell McConnell and Stanley Brue
Principles of Microeconomics - 75 Microeconomics by Campbell McConnell and Stanley Brue
CLEP PAPER TESTS - taken a LONG time ago!
Spanish - 68 I studied Spanish with BJU HomeSat during high school, I listened to Bible in Spanish tapes at night, and I practiced speaking as much as possible with friends at church
French - 58 (in paper tests this is a 4 semester credit) I studied French with BJU HomeSat during highschool
Freshman College Comp - 66 I studied ABeka Grammar during high school
English Comp with Essay - 530 (passing 420) ditto
College Algebra - 68 I studied Saxon Algebra and Advanced Math textbooks during high school
Trigonometry - 67 ditto
College Mathematics - 75 ditto
Chemistry - 42 (passing was 47) :-( I only studied BJU Chemistry with HomeSat and the BJU high school textbook. I should have studied a college level book, because I knew the BJU book backwards and forwards. I remember not knowing a lot of the names of the Chemistry equipment for labwork.

That's about the sum of it!

I passed DSST Principles of Supervision yesterday with a 58 (A) . I only used IC flashcards and I googled the specific items listed in the exam specific feedback. That's it.

... OK, so I used a little supplimental research, but it was all because it was recommended in the IC forums.
