    Default College Algebra suggestions please,

    Hello everyone,

My question is I have never had any kind of experience with algebra in the class or test mode at all in my life, can the College algebra clep be done?

I did pass statistics with a pretty decent score not to long ago and if that would help, or is the algebra clep completely different?

Is there anyone who has taken this test without prior experience in the subject?

    Thanks,
    Mike

well.... I think you can do it!!! Just because you've never taken algebra doesn't mean you can't learn it now. Try taking the Peterson's practice test GuidanceNet - Free Test Preparation - Tools (code FL5518) --- see where you are -- and start studying. I'd go to Border's and pick up a book on college algebra. They have some helpful things. Keep on!

mjno-I'm in close to the same boat as you, only I know that I passed algebra in HS 30+ years ago, I just don't know how...

I think the link that hsing sent is our ticket to success. I checked out all of the Algebra pages and they are just what we've been looking for... a clear and consice explanation of the dreaded subject. It is the most straightforward approach that I have seen yet. I'm so happy to find this link. mjno thanks for the question....hsing thanks for the link!

You are welcome. Here's another good one:

    http://images.learnatest.com/SearchP...Success_2e.pdf
Algebra Success in 20 min. a day.

You might be able to get it from your library. Let me know if you have difficulty dl and I can email. It is 2 megs.

Also, check out LearningExpressLibrary.com You should be able to use your library card number as username and create a password. It has tons of educational self guided links for all the major subjects and various career and workplace tests.

You will find a link to EBooks . That's where I found the Algebra .pdf (which I had previously checked out from the library.) You will also find Biology Success and many, many others.
