    Default Took first test today!

    Hello,
I am relatively new to this site, and I have to say it is great, and i appreciate everyones tips for the tests. I just took my first clep test today in Sociology and passed with a 58. I studied for about 3 days using primarily IC flashcards, and a couple of other resources such as the official study guide book. Mostly the flashcards though. Thanks for the advice and tips, I look forward to using this site for other tests. Now the question is what test should I take next, I was thinking about American Government. Let me know what you think.

    Joshua

Nice job and welcome. The advice you'll find most on this site with regard to the "next" test would be to finish out the psychology tests if you need them (CLEP Psych, Educational Psych, Human Growth and Development). You'll notice a lot of overlap with some of what you learned for Sociology. Good luck!

I would agree that if you can take any of the Psych exams, those are going to overlap with Sociology. Maybe Intro to Psych next! It's always best to try to take a bunch of similar exams in a row.....

Congrats on taking and passing your first exam!! The first one is usually the hardest to prepare for since you don't usually know quite what to expect. Keep up the great work! There are plenty of people on here that are willing to answer questions and just be as much of a help to you as possible. Don't hesitate to use them.

    Hey everyone,
Thanks for all of the feedback. I already took some psychology classes and I have to be carefull what I can take since I already have 80 or so credits and almost all of my electives are done. Right now I just decided to pursue the American Government clep, since I know that is one that I can take. After I talk with my education counselor, and find out where these other cleps fall category wise It will be a lot easier to choose one. I have been doing ok on the am gov flashcards and will probably take it in a week. I have seen some people on here that have taken it, and said that it wasnt that hard. I have the official clep studyguide, and also will take the petersons tests, since that is one of them I can get for free(military). Also, I have told some people about this site and showed them how it works and they are in awe, and will probably be signing up soon.

    Thanks again,
    joshua

Joshua, You can get a $ credit here if you refer someone and they sign up. I don't have the details handy, check the homepage. You need to give them a special code- sorry it's been a while since I found out about it, but you should inquire!
