Okay I've been studying for 2-3 days for the DSST Drug & Alcohol from IC and of course reading from the forum regarding this test.
Do a lot of the exact questions on IC show up on the test?? I'm a little nervous because I failed my first Dantes test and I really don't want to fail this one.. It seems a little hard but I am remembering a lot of the questions from IC when I review them... Do you think I'll be fine with that..? |

IC is a great tool for learning the information to pass the exam, but don’t expect to see the exact information on the exams (memorizing would be a waste; you have to know the material). I have found the best way of using IC is to study a section at a time, reading the questions and the answers. I then move on to the next section once I have successfully answer all the questions in a section before moving to another section. Once I complete all the sections, I then go over each section again on another day.
Then I take the Peterson’s test (if one is available) or REA test and if I get over 52% then I feel comfortable to go and sit the exam, if not I study a few more days until I can obtain a higher score. – Good luck on your exam!

When I studied for this one, I didn't yet have IC access. But, one big bonus, is that this type of material is really very readily available on the internet. I did a few searches like "drug abuse" or "alcoholic" and found soooo much that I had to pick and choose. There is a lot of info on the specific exam feedback section. I think that someone had a link to a chart (5 or 6 pages long), I don't have the link anymore, but I found the chart very helpful. Maybe scan the archives and see what you can come up with. I recall some questions from right field that I had no clue about, but in the end I worked hard on learning the classes of drugs, what they are, what they do, what they don't do, addiction and withdrawal of each. If you know that info thoroughly you should feel confident.
