Finally got the official review from excelsior there was some hold up due to the whole test center server crash and losing the results to my principles of marketing which I did get credit for with the letter from collegeboard and my grade results by the way. Here it is I have 99 credits granted. This is what I have left.
at least 18.00 credits in arts & sciences to include: - College Algebra, at the level of precalculus (or higher) - almost finished with Penn Foster - Statistics - Approved to take from Penn Foster Ethics Requirement - Apparently they couldn't tell from the write up if this if it would work for business ethics on my Ethics in Information systems course so credit toward humanities and I still need the business ethics requirement. Since I don't need upper level will take DSST - ethics in america Business Component You need: - Introduction to Accounting I (Financial) (mine was older than 20 years and didn't count) plan to clep this - Introduction to Accounting II (Managerial) (mine was older than 20 years and didn't count approved to take from Penn Foster ) - Business Law- (mine was older than 20 years and didn't count) plan to clep this - Managerial Finance or Financial Management BUS*350 PRINCIPLES OF FINANCE - Just finished the course waiting for the proctor package to take the final - Production/Operations Management - Approved to take from CSU - peublo - Business Policy*** I may take this with Excelsior haven't decided yet. BUS*495 BUSINESS STRATEGY - where are other people taking it or is the tecep exam do-able. So I need more than I thought but hey I am still almost there. For the last of the arts/sciences I thought I would take intro to psych, world religions, and american literature. Unless someone can suggest easier/faster ones.

Judy, Any chance you work in the accounting field now?? I took those two accounting courses over 20 years ago as well, but I was able to successfully challenge Excelsior to accept those credits. I wrote to the Dean and sent him my resume and current job description (working as an accountant for years), and this clearly showed him that I obviously hadn't forgotten what I learned "way back when". So if you or anyone else here has a similar situation...go for it! As for Business Policy, I highly recommend you take the TECEP exam as it will be a LOT less work IMHO. Yes, it is a bit of a pain getting it all set up with TESC and it's definitely not cheap ($450), but I personally think it would still be worth it. I have not worked in the accounting field I finished up my A.S. and happily spent the next years working in IT, so I can't argue the credits are to old. Thanks for the input. I am a math phobic and figured I would just keep putting of the statistics test so by taking it as a course I have to do it. As you can see I have procrastinated on any math course.
I will look at the specific exam threads on the business strategy course, if I try to take it as a semester course I may not get finished up by the end of my year, it is going to be challenging as it is with the extra requirements I have now. Although I may try the csu peublo course as it is similar in price to the tecep exam anyone have any feedback on that one?
