    Default CLEP MACRO Question

For those that have taken the macroeconomics exam, how long did you study and how difficult did you find the exam? I am leaning towards taking this exam in the next two weeks or so, but wanted to get some feedback from those that have successfully completed the exam.

I studied for 3-weeks and found the test to be moderately difficult.

    I couldn't have passed without the SD-Videos.

I don't remember exactly how long I studied but I think it was around 2 weeks. Economics comes pretty naturally to me, so I was able to pass with a 70 using only InstantCert. I went through all the information 3 times. The second time through I took detailed notes; the third time was in random order. Then I took the sample test in the Official Study Guide in order to get a feel for how I would do with some "fresh questions".

If you are worried, I would recommend taking the Peterson's sample tests Search for Colleges and Universities, Graduate Schools, Online Degree, Private Schools - Peterson's. I did not use them for Macro, but they were immensely helpful when I was studying for Biology and Educational Psychology (topics which do not come as easily to me). The Peterson's tests I used were really good. They will either give you more knowledge or more confidence. Neither one hurts

I studied for about two weeks. I found it pretty difficult initially but after a week of weeping and gnashing of teeth , I finally got the hang of it mostly. I scored a 73, using primarily IC. IC was by far the best resource. I also did the practice test in the AP Economics book and studied the answers to the questions...found that practice test helpful also.

I'd say 2 weeks should be fairly good, if you have the time for some serious study during those weeks.

    Default Clepping Macro!

I studied for about 1 week. That might not have been enough but I passed with a 52. Good enough. I also looked at Basic Economic Essentials, a paperback book that has several chapters on Macro that kind of puts things together from IC. I was kind of crunched for time so if you have the time I would study a little longer. But on a good note, IC has been great for me and so have the Forums. Macro and Prin. of Mgt(67) in 16 days! Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I studied for about two weeks. I think you will know when you are ready to take that test. It took a few days for it to start to sink in. The Annenberg series helped a lot on this one. Good luck!!!

I spent about 10 days prepping for the Macroeconomics exam. I used InstantCert and the CliffsAP Economics- Macro and Micro. I used the Petersons practice exams to gauge my standing at the end. I scored a a 58 on the actual CLEP.
