    Hi All,

I'm bumping this thread to the top for any newcomers to see.

If you haven't already, please consider creating a signature file so that we can get to know you a bit better.

    You can include things like:

    - Your first name
    - Which school you are attending, or which degree you are seeking
    - How many credits you have left to go
    - Recent exams/classes you have taken
    - Exams/classes you plan to take next
    - Any other information you'd like people to know

It really does make it easier for other members to personalise their responses to your specific situation, and it just generally makes the board a 'friendlier' place to be.

You only have to do it once, and your signature will appear at the bottom of all your posts (like mine below).

    Here's how to do it:

    1) Click on "User CP" in the top left of this page.
    2) Then click on "Edit Signature" at the top left of the next page.
    3) Create your signature (you can adjust font, size, color etc.)
    4) Click "Preview Signature" to make sure it looks the way you want it to look.
    5) When you are satisfied, click "Save Signature"

You can update it or change it at any time by repeating the process.

It's not mandatory of course, but I hope that those of you who haven't done so already, will take advantage of this very useful tool.

    Thanks,
    Snazzlefrag

    Hi Everyone,

I'm just bumping this thread up to the top for the new members to see.

Having a signature really does help the board run more smoothly. When you ask a question, your signature allows us to clearly see pertinent information such as:

Which school you are enrolled in.
Which degree you are working towards.
Which state or city you live in.
How many credits you have earned already.
Which exams you have taken most recently.
Which exams you are preparing to take next.

When we know this type of information about you, it makes it much faster and easier for us to provide you with answers that are applicable to YOUR SPECIFIC situation.

If you haven't done so already, please try to take a few minutes to create your signature file. We don't need to know any personal details, but general introductory information such as I mentioned above, will really help to personalize the responses you get from other members.

It's not mandatory in any way, but I hope that you will consider creating a simple signature so that we can get to know you a little better.

Thank you, and welcome to the board,
    Snazzlefrag

Does the board search feature look at data in the signature?

No it doesn't bluetooth. It can search within a thread's title, or it can search within the actual posts, but not within the signature.

That makes sense though, because signatures can sometimes change from one minute to the next as members continually update their info.

    Hope that helps,
    Snazzlefrag
